Double D Distribution - Mechanic/Driver
A trucking company in North Salt Lake where I have worked as both a mechanic and driver I learned:
- Fundamental mechanic skills to maintain and repair truck and trailer equipment
- Punctuality to meet customers needs and deadlines
- Safety when dealing with heavy machinery, construction sites, and hazardous materials
- Hard work to put in 12+ hours a day to get the job done
UVU/USU Tutoring - Math & Engineer Tutor
Math tutoring center and an Engineering tutoring center that we developed at UVU:
- Connecting with someone, not just communicating, so that what is being said can be understood
- Adapting to different personalities/behaviors as I worked with so many different people
- Coaching a person in problem solving instead of just solving the problem for them
UVU Engineering Club - President
A club we started at UVU to excite students and further the industry:
- Organizing of events/meetings to fit multiple peoples schedules
- Collaborating with professors, other departments on campus, other universities, and companies to aid students in projects and networking
LDS Church - Missionary
A 2 year volunteer service mission for the LDS church in Southern England:
- Connecting as I associated with, learned from, and taught people from almost every country in the world
- Training and Mentoring a group of 12-14 other missionaries in communication and time management for my last year in England
